School Philosophy
The philosophy of this school is such that it recognises, supports and endeavors to accommodate the right of the student to learn in an educationally conducive environment and regardless of innate ability, family or social circumstances, endeavors to ensure that the educational, emotional spiritual, psychological and moral welfare of each individual student is provided for, encouraging at all times the cooperation and assistance of the parents/guardians of the student.
Each student is encouraged to participate to the fullest possible extent in the social, physical and cultural activities of the school, so that, on completion of his/her formal second level education, he/she may emerge as a self-disciplined, responsible and well adjusted citizen, capable of playing an active and positive role in modern society.
Religious Education
All students receive religious instruction under the guidance of a qualified catechetic teacher. A chaplain from the local parish visits the school regularly.
Aims
To make our college a caring place where students can reach their full potential in a pleasant and humane environment.
We are in `loco parentis' and we endeavor to treat each individual student with respect and indignity, having as our priority the sanctity of the human being.
We want our students to grow in self- esteem, self worth and self-confidence and we seek to instill in them a respect for people and property.
To set a pattern for adult life so that they will be able to adapt more easily to such things as punctuality, cooperation, responsibility and pride in their work.
That our students would see themselves as making a valuable contribution and service to society throughout their lives.
